I am directed by the Secretary of State for War to acknowledge receipt of your letter No. 29156 of 25th November 1901, enclosing two copies of Memorandum No. 278.M. of the Colonial Defence Committee relating to the storage of Ammunition for Foreign Navies at Hong Kong, and to state that he concurs generally in the Memorandum, but will await further remarks by the Colonial Defence Committee on the subject of the removal of the Colonial Magazine from its present site to a new one on Stonecutter's Island.
